Seasons Greetings

At this time of year, the staff at the Fifty Caliber Institute would like to send to you all a hearty Seasons Greetings.

We also want to particularly thank each of you for your support this past year, either financially or by contacting your legislators when the need was there. It’s only with this kind of support that we can continue our work of protecting your RIGHT to own the rifle caliber of YOUR choice.

As we look forward to 2008, we are expecting a spirited election process for Congress (most of the Senate and all of the House of Representatives), as well as President and more state and local positions than you can count. We urge you all to focus on the 2nd amendment beliefs of these candidates in making your choice at the ballot box. While you are watching the election process, ask them not how they stand on gun-owner’s rights, but instead, ask them what they’ve DONE to protect those rights.

For this election cycle, unlike previous ones, many of the candidates that have sworn to take your personal property, have been advised to avoid that topic, to look moderate and non-threatening. So how these candidates have performed will be the litmus test, not what they say, on this issue.

Don’t accept platitudes. Accept actions.

If you’ve not already done so, there’s still time to enter our fund-raiser for either the Smith & Wesson, Performance Center Model 500 revolver or a Cobb BA50TR .50 BMG caliber rifle. The deadline for entries is December 20, 2007. You can enter by mail if you respond today, or, to ensure your entry arrives in time, you can enter by calling/faxing our office or via our website. Note that the Cobb rifle is not eligible for shipment to California residents and, of course, you must meet all federal, state, and local eligibility requirements for firearms ownership to win either firearm. (Additional rules governing this program are available on our website.)

We anticipate the drawing for both guns will be held on December 22nd when we are sure all of the mail entries have cleared our PO Box. The winners will be notified immediately and the results will be posted on the FCI website immediately. Good luck to all of our supporters.

Remember! Your contribution is the only means we have of funding our work to defend your rights to own your .50 BMG target rifle.

We want everyone to have a Very Merry Christmas and if you're lucky enough to get in some shooting over the holidays, Safe Shooting.

Best regards to all.
